The picture was taken in National Park of the Sibillini Mountains, in the Plain of Castelluccio.
The plain is a karstic plateau system divided in Great, Little and Lost Plains. In the lowest part of the Great Plain is the "Fosso Mergani" which gathers surface run off (from precipitation) and ends in a blind valley with a large swallet.
Early morning, 7 a.m., immersed in a sacred silence, I shooted some pictures of this place: the right light allowed to me to capture the magic of the moment.
